Hello Models.
I was talking with a couple of my friends earlier about taking a trip back to my hometown together (my hometown meaning the person behind Cheyenne, not actually Cheyenne). Even though I was born in Miami, I consider Asheville, NC to be my actual hometown.
While we were talking, I was mentioning what there was to do in my hometown if we were to visit and there were basically two schools of possibilities: The Great Outdoors and The Art Scene. When I got home, I realized that these two different areas would possibly make for a good shoot, especially since you are all in pairs.
So, for this shoot, I want one member of each pair to give us a shot showing off The Great Outdoors, while the other member of the pair will give us a shot showing off The Art Scene.
The Great Outdoors - The Blue Ridge Parkway spans several states in the US and Asheville contains a large stretch of the park. A key trail is Devil's Pitchfork which includes a steep hike to a cliff that includes a vast view of greenery. My personal favorite trail is Graveyard Fields. It was named as such due to the dead trees looking like tombstones from a distance. There wound up being a fire that burned down those trees and now that area looks like a wide, open plain. At the end of the trail, there is a lake at the bottom of a waterfall that you can go swimming in.
Models who choose The Great Outdoors may want to keep in mind photos that include heavy greenery (excluding palm trees and other obviously tropical foliage), plains, lakes, or waterfalls. If you care to research the outdoor elements of the city and come up with another aspect you care to show off, then feel free to do so and include it in the description. Since it's my hometown, I may easily see the connection without the description, Yoona, Jensen, and Brendan are not from my hometown and may need the descriptions to help make the connections better.
The Art Scene - Asheville is home to 64 different theater companies within the city. They also pride themselves in having access to different forms of culture. There are companies in the city that offer dance lessons in various forms of dance such as Jazz, Ballet, Contra, and Butoh, among others. Possibly the most important aspect of the art scene is the strong sense of folk art in the area. There are many festivals centered around folk art in the area.
Models who choose The Art Scene should keep in mind a desire to portray artistic endeavors and a desire to developed a worldly viewpoint while still staying true to the city's country and folk art roots.
